Where We Are Located

The Universal Shooting Academy practical shooting school is located in Frostproof, Florida, USA, less than one hour south of Orlando’s world famous Walt Disney world and many other attractions. You may arrange to fly into Miami International Airport, located four hours south of the academy or Orlando International Airport, located one hour north. Florida weather permits us to schedule courses year around, seven days a week. We recommend making reservations 30 to 60 days prior to the date you are requesting. Most of our students elect to arrive a few days early to take advantage of the vacation attractions near by and do some sightseeing.

Our Training Philosophy and Techniques

Each course is personally taught by either international and U.S. champion, grand master pro Frank Garcia or champion, grand master pro Emanuel "Manny" Bragg. Both are former US World Champion team members. Being a champion, however, does not necessarily make you an instructor. To be an excellent instructor you must be able to communicate your knowledge and expertise to others. This is an area in which Frank and Manny truly excel. The training techniques used will help you achieve higher levels and primarily save you time and money. 

One of the main reasons for our success in achieving high goals in a short period of time is because we offer what no other academy offers. All of our courses are very personalized at an affordable rate. Each class contains no more than (8) students (unless per your request you would like to arrange a group session with your friends).

Remember, all of our courses offer personalized attention. No matter what level you are at, with our expertise it is our job to make you feel comfortable with our program. The advantage with our system versus any other academy in the world is the professional ability to evaluate each student on an individual basis and custom tailor each course around that student's needs. Course Descriptions

The courses available are as follows: 

1. Basic Practical Pistol Course 

Designed for the brand new shooter who has never drawn a gun from the holster. This would also be an excellent course for someone looking for self-defense training. 

2. Intermediate Practical Pistol Course 

Designed for the majority of shooters, we evaluate each shooter carefully and design a custom course around the individual's personal ability. 

3. Advanced Practical Pistol Course I and II, etc. 

Designed for shooters who have attended any of our previous courses. Each course is custom tailored to each individual. 

4. Specialized Courses 

Are also available in the field of 3-gun basic training, Bianchi cup training, steel challenge handgun training, military, and law enforcement instructor training.

Tuition/Costs

All of our courses offer intensive seven (7) hour/day formats.

Tuition for each course is per student in groups of 4-10:

Each course will require 1000 rounds of ammunition per day of training. You may bring your own or we can supply calibers 38 super, 9mm and .45ACP (Price On Request ). Ammunition for other calibers may be available. Rental of guns and equipment is available at a cost of $30.00 per two-day course.

Registration

Universal Shooting Academy offers courses 7 days a week. All courses are scheduled daily, tailored to your personal time schedule. Tuition is based on private one on one or group tuition rates. For group tuition rates you will be required to organize your own group personnel.  

When you decide on a date, check with us for availability, complete the PDF Registration Form and submit by e-mail or  Regular Registration Form and return it to us with a $100.00 non-refundable deposit via Fax or Mail. The deposit may be made with a credit card upon the date of reservation.

Course Completion

Here at Universal Shooting Academy, we take pride in all of our students. Upon completion of the course, each student will
receive a course diploma, detailed course outline, personalized training program, and Universal Shooting Academy apparel.

But most of all, you will experience an education in practical shooting covering important topics such as point shooting, speed draw, modern grip and stance methods, strong and weak hand shooting, moving target tactics, barricade shooting, speed reloading, quick target acquisition and many more modern
